Project Summary
The Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. engaged an interdisciplinary consulting team to conduct a site assessment and redevelopment plan for its newly acquired 9-acre Avon site. The property contained a 383,000 square foot warehouse that was originally constructed for Chrysler Motor Parts and then was used for multiple different operations before beginning its journey as a long-vacant structure. CPRD collaborated with the team as a subcontractor to KB, focusing on the urban planning study of the site and local area. CPRD analyzed nearly a dozen precedent urban plans that affected the site and evaluated the surrounding context and character areas of the site. This included connectivity to the BeltLine, along with the symbiotic impact of their neighboring Murphy Crossing redevelopment site.
